Ray Bugeja is a long time member of FUMTC. He had his first fight for FUMTC in 1991. During that time Ray was also competing in amateur boxing quite successfully. After a string of kickboxing and boxing bouts Ray decided to hang up his gloves but continued training.

Due to his dedication to training and his knowledge of the fight game, Ray was always going to be involved in training other club members especially the competitive members. When asked, Ray took on the position of Trainer without hesitation. He was involved in the development of Paul Slowinski as a fighter. Always an inspiration to all the other fighters, Ray was instrumental in developing the boxing skills of Milan Milosevic, Marcin Olczak, Tenille May, Anita Pagnani and a whole host of others.

He is always the right hand of Alan Wong and can be seen helping Alan corner fighters during competition. His knowledge of the fight game always helped in decision making during bouts.

Ray will always get the best out of anyone and training under him is always intense but also fun.
